Q: What is neon?

A: Neon is an inert gas. The neon tubes are constructed with airtight gas, sealed, and filled at a very low pressure with either neon or argon gases. The ends of the tubes have metal fittings that are connected by wires to a neon transformer or power supply. The gas is not harmful to your health if it escapes.

Q: Is neon safe?

A: Yes, our Extreme Neon products are safe, they come with a UL-approved adaptor. All neon items should be handled with care and are to be used as a stationary item kept away from moisture. Please note that the neon tubing is made of glass and will break if it is dropped. Also, remember to always unplug the unit before moving or touching it. Please, under no circumstances, attempt to disassemble or repair any neon item. Instead, please bring it to an authorized neon repair shop.

Q: How expensive is neon to run?

A: Neon is a very efficient light source.

Q: How long will my Extreme Neon product last?

A: Indoor neon pieces are virtually maintenance free. The transformer or power supply can last up to fifteen years. The neon tubes do not burn out like incandescent or fluorescent light bulbs, and will last twenty years or longer if they are not broken.
